Strong Verticals

A good friend is a boat photographer. He works for Mercury Marine and shoots new boats for the manufacturers. The outboard motors his company builds are always prominent in his images. He shoots almost all horizontal pictures. I shoot a lot of "cover shots" and by necessity these have to be verticals. They need to be clean, "quick reads," and they usually need to be composed so there is a place to overlay some type.
